We often offer feedback on submissions, but cannot guarantee that we always will have comments for every manuscript.

Please read the guidelines – they are simple. Submissions NOT adhering to these guidelines will be declined. Please note that all work must be unpublished (this includes self-publishing and posting online) unless otherwise noted.
Currently closed for all submissions except Poetry/Art Collaborative Chapbooks
Short-Fiction Collections Currently Closed.
Must be a minimum of 30,000 words and have a least 3 of the included pieces previously published in recognizable periodicals or anthologies.
Full-length Poetry Collections Currently Closed.
Poetry collections must be 65-90 pages long. Poets must have journal publication credits, at least ten published poems, and a history of involvement in the literary arts.
Poetry Chapbooks Temporarily Closed.
Guidelines Updated!
Must be 20-45 pages long. Open to anyone, but only a small percentage are chosen (we try for at least one every three months). Poetry chapbooks do receive royalties (we just changed this) and free copies. Poets must be willing to promote their poetry with pride and be open to revision. Positively selling chapbook authors are given preference for full-length publication.
Chapbooks are always professional, perfect-bound, and full color.
These submissions are initially read blind, but the final decision is not blind.

Poetry/Art Collaborative Chapbooks
Must be 20-50 pages long. We want to see collaborations between poets and artists.
Book-length Creative Non-fiction Currently Closed.
Must be a minimum of 40,000 words – but only send us the first 10,000 or so to start and proposal. No straight memoir, but collections of personal essays are welcome. Humorous stories are preferred.
Literary Novels Currently Closed.
Novels must be a minimum of 60,000 words – but only send us the first 10,000 or so to start. This is the most difficult category for acceptance, so only send work you feel is ready to publish. Be prepared to revise or accept edits.
Invitation-Only Submissions
Some of our submissions are by invitation only and must be sent to a special, private email address. Don’t write us; we will write you.
We do not accept children’s books, young adult novels, cookbooks, self-help, or genre-specific (mystery, romance, sci-fi) at this time, but check back as we may expand into these areas.
